Combo Brows in Round Rock, TX
If you want fuller, more defined brows that still look like your own, Combo Brows (also called Combination Brows or Eyebrow Combination) may be the right fit. At By Bautis Spa in Round Rock, this technique blends fine, hair-like strokes with soft shading, giving you natural texture up front and gentle definition throughout the brow. We work with clients from Round Rock, Austin, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, and Hutto who want a brow that looks effortless every single day.
Every Combo Brows appointment starts with a real conversation — about your natural brow growth, your facial structure, and the shape and fullness you're picturing — before any pigment is placed.
What Are Combo Brows?
Combo Brows combine two permanent makeup techniques in one treatment: hairstrokes and shading. Your artist first maps out a brow design that's customized to your facial structure and your natural brow growth pattern.
Hairstrokes are then placed mainly through the front of the brow and in any sparse areas, mimicking individual brow hairs. Soft shading is layered in to add definition and fullness while keeping the overall look natural rather than solid or block-colored.
The result sits between the very fine, hairstroke-only look of Microblading and the fully shaded, powder-soft look of Ombre Brows — which is why it's a popular choice for clients who want more fullness than Microblading alone but still want visible texture at the front of the brow.
Is Combo Brows Right for Your Skin Type?
Combo Brows generally works well for normal, dry, and combination skin. Your skin type is an important part of choosing the right brow technique, so every client is evaluated individually before treatment.
Normal Skin
Combo Brows can work well for normal skin, combining natural-looking hairstrokes with soft shading for added fullness and definition.
A GOOD FITDry & Combination Skin
Dry and combination skin can also be well suited to Combo Brows, allowing the hairstrokes and soft shading to work together for a natural, textured result.
A GOOD FITVery Oily Skin
Very oily skin doesn't automatically rule you out. However, hairstrokes may not retain as sharply over time, so an individual evaluation is especially important.
Your Skin, Your Best Fit
During your consultation, we'll look at your skin and talk honestly about what to expect. If another technique looks like a better fit for you, we'll walk you through that option before treatment.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
A full Combo Brows appointment usually takes about 2–3 hours. That time covers:
- ✓ Your consultation
- ✓ Brow mapping and shape design
- ✓ Pigment/color selection
- ✓ Numbing
- ✓ The procedure itself
Nothing is rushed. Brow mapping is done before any pigment touches your skin, so you can see and approve your shape first.
Healing Timeline
Initial healing typically takes around 7–14 days, but your brows will continue changing as the pigment settles. Knowing what to expect can make the healing process easier to understand.
Darker & More Defined
Brows may look darker and more defined than the final result. This is a normal part of the healing process.
Dryness & Flaking
The skin can become dry and begin to flake as part of normal surface healing.
Color Looks Lighter
After the flaking is gone, the color may look noticeably lighter for a period. This is temporary and is not the final result.
Final Healed Result
Around 4–5 weeks is when the final healed result can be properly evaluated as the brows settle into their true color and shape.
Be Patient With the Process
It's normal for Combo Brows to go through visible changes before settling into their true color and shape. Try not to judge the final result during the first couple of weeks.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare protects your healing and helps support your final result. During the initial healing period, following these simple guidelines is important.
Keep Your Brows Dry
Keep your brows dry during the initial healing period. Avoid sweating, saunas, steam rooms, swimming, and direct sun exposure.
Let Them Heal Naturally
Never scratch, pick, or remove flakes or scabs. Allow the skin to shed naturally as your brows heal.
Follow Your Ointment Instructions
Apply the aftercare ointment we provide using clean hands, following the instructions given to you at your appointment.
Your Aftercare Plan
We'll walk you through your personalized aftercare plan before you leave your appointment, so you'll know exactly how to care for your brows during the healing process.
Touch-Ups &
Longevity
Your Combo Brows are designed to soften naturally over time. A first touch-up helps refine the healed result, while proper care can help your brows maintain their color and definition for years.
Perfecting Your Healed Result
We recommend your first touch-up around 6–8 weeks after your initial procedure, if needed. This gives your skin time to fully heal and allows us to refine any areas that healed lighter than expected.
Beautifully Soft Over Time
With proper care, Combo Brows can typically last around 2–3 years, sometimes longer. Your individual results depend on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare products, and how your skin naturally retains pigment.
Your Brows, Your Timeline
Because every client's skin behaves differently, we'll give you a more personalized estimate during your consultation and help you understand what to expect from your individual results.
